The other day my wife was surfing on a website named TIAS, because my youngest son Jake needed a new pair of soccer cleats. All of a sudden, the computer crashed, and she could not proceed.
I was not in town because I hade an important business meeting the next day. She called me that there was a problem she could not fix. So I grabbed my laptop and connected via a so-called VNC client so that I could fix the issue from out of my hotel room.

How Does VNC Work?
VNC is based on a server/client model. A client-server model is a network model that easily enables interaction with the client and the server. VNC uses a unique network protocol known as the remote frame buffer (RFB). Individuals who use VNC or VNC clients share user input like mouse movements touches with the server, clicks, and keystrokes.
VNC servers capture the data and the functioning of the local computer and share it back to the client. On the server, connections over RFB go to TCP port 5900.
VNC is indeed an easy way to be able to access your data remotely. However, sometimes VNC may be very slow and inefficient, given there is a data overload or network interference.
